When news of the unprecedented Ebola outbreak was reported, the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center took swift action and activated the Emergency Management Incident Command System (ICS). While the likelihood of contracting Ebola is extremely low, hospitals in the United States, including VA hospitals and clinics, need to be prepared.
Our Incident Command Team meets daily to strategize how best to address and prevent the spread of Ebola. Visit www.cdc.gov to get the latest information concerning the Ebola outbreak. POC: Octavia Davis, Emergency Manager, (312) 569-6467.
